Privacy

What SKUHelm collects, why, who else handles it and how to have it removed.

SKUHelm builds product feeds from shops. To do that we keep a small amount of information about you and a larger amount about your products. This page says what, and why.

What we keep

  • Your account: your email address and a password hash. We never see the password itself.
  • Your store: the shop address or files you give us, the products we read from them, your store settings and the edits you make.
  • Activity: syncs, feed versions, changes we detect and the API keys you create. Keys are stored as hashes; we can't show one again.
  • Billing: if you subscribe, Stripe holds your card. We keep the customer and subscription IDs Stripe gives us.
  • Errors: when something breaks we record the error and the page or request it came from, with personal details removed where we can.

The free store check reads a shop's public catalogue only. We don't keep its results against you, and we don't need an account to run it.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your information.
  • We don't run advertising or cross-site tracking.
  • We don't change prices or stock in your shop. We only read them.

Who else handles it

  • Helm7 hosts the app, its database and sign-in, and sends sign-up confirmations and password resets.
  • Stripe takes payments for Pro.
  • Sentry receives error reports.
  • OpenHelm Mail sends Pro alerts when items drop out of your feed.

Your published feed is public on purpose. Anyone with its address can read it, which is how OpenAI and other agents fetch it. It contains product data only.

Cookies

We set the cookies that keep you signed in, and nothing else. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, so there's no banner to click.

Keeping and removing

We keep your data while your account is open. To close it and have your store, products and feed history deleted, email [email protected] from the address on the account. We do it within 30 days. Stripe keeps billing records for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected]. If you're in the UK or EU and unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority.
